Handmade sterling silver ring, set with a huge and beautiful piece of the palest green Seaham seaglass, collected from the shoreline on one of my favourite days out, spotting the jewels amidst the sand and foam...
I think this is one of the coolest rings I've ever made. How and why there is wire running through the glass, I thought I'd never know, until my husband, in a flash of inspiration, said "It must be safety glass!" I don't find it very often, but I have a few pieces here I've collected over the last while, and it will all find its way into unique jewellery pieces at some point.
So here it is, as perfectly flawed as the sea presents it, and set into an eye-popping statement ring.
No one in the world will own one the same.
The glass measures 2 cm x just over 2cm and the shank is size M (UK)
Made with quality sterling silver here in my little studio in the North-East of England.
