From the shape of this piece of seaglass, discovered on the beach at Seaham, historically the site of a glass factory that used to dispose of its offcast into the sea, I suspect that it may once have been the stopper part of an old-fashioned glass bottle.
I have crocheted a sterling silver "cage" around it and here it is, hung on a delicate silver chain.
Seaglass / riverglass is a symbol of renewal and healing, harnessing the energies of transformation, channelled by the water it tumbled in.
Chain length: 45cm / 18in
Glass size: 3cm x 2cm at its widest
